What Prescott Drivers Say About Steiner Auto & Diesel

I highly recommend Steiner Auto & Diesel. My story is that I am not a “car person” and I don't have a lot of extra money to throw at repairs. But like so many others, because I must rely on a mechanic to be honest about what my car needs and on what time line, I know that in the world at large I am vulnerable to being over charged or over serviced. In general I have been taught to be distrusting of this industry because of all the bad stories, and I have experienced some of those stories myself at other places. Steiner Auto and Diesel completely take that concern away and replaced it with trust and reliability. They are experts, they are professional and, importantly, they are honest; they have integrity about doing valuable service and they do great repairs. I feel more secure as a car owner knowing I have them in my phone. I will continue to bring my car to Steiner Auto & Diesel, and recommend them to anyone.

Gary is an excellent mechanic and he doesn't try to sell you things you don't need. He explains what is going on with your vehicle and will get it fixed right the first time. I love going to this shop!!! Thank you for keeping my truck on the road!

Love this shop! Gary is trustworthy and knowledgeable with everything I've ever brought him. He is capable of handling routine maintenance to motor replacements and everything else in between. Hands down best small town mechanic around!

Most honest guy I've ever met in a shop. These guys do great work, and have a hospitality mind set to boot. If you ever need anything done, Gary's the man for the job. I will definitely be back.

Steiner Auto and Diesel is the only place I take my 2017 Volvo. I also refer him to many of my friends and they have also been extremely satisfied with his work. Not only is he extremely knowledgeable but he won't charge you 300% mark up on parts and labor. I needed a coolant hose replaced and the dealer quoted $3500. Gary did it for under $900. He will tell you what is going on and not try and sell you a bunch of other things like the dealer will to make quota for the month. He can also give you a great second opinion if you are not sure if your current mechanic is being honest about what is going on with your vehicle. You won't be disappointed. So take your car to Gary!

I can't even begin to tell you how amazing Steiner Auto and Diesel is! My car is 20 years old with a quarter of a million miles on her and Gary keeps her running like she's brand new. He is honest and very fair with his prices. I highly recommend them! Best mechanic in Prescott!
